What is redundancy? Also, does this bear on the matter of given versus new? When we write, sometimes we have to re-establish context (i.e., the given) before we can offer something new. The given and the new should be in harmony. Too much new, and the reader may be disoriented. Too much given, and the reader will experience it as redundant.

- I agree. Redundancy is a tricky issue. But, I really liked the organization of this page and the explanation in it from the book.
